Nike, Adidas, Puma materials will be made in Bangladesh

China-owned company Join Win (Bangladesh) Limited will manufacture shoe materials or shoe accessories in Bangladesh. The company will produce materials for various world famous brands of shoes like Nike, Adidas, Puma, Caterpillar etc.

The Join Win factory will be set up in Bepza Economic Zone located in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpanagar. For this, the company will invest 1 crore US dollars or about 105 crore taka (taking 105 taka per dollar). It will provide employment to around 900 Bangladeshi citizens.

An agreement regarding this was signed yesterday at the executive office of Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA) in the capital. Bepza Member (Investment Development) Ali Reza Majid and Join Win (Bangladesh) Managing Director Xu Taihui signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. At that time, Bepza executive chairman Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, member Mohammad Farooq Alam, Nafisa Banu and others were present.

Bepza said in a press release that 7 million pairs of shoe accessories will be produced annually in this fully modern and automated factory. These include products such as PU insole, PU midsole, PU outsole, TPU outsole, rubber outsole and open cell PU insole.According to Bepza, the company has been operating in this sector for 30 years. They have factories in six countries around the world.

So far, 18 domestic and foreign companies have signed agreements to set up industries in Bepza Economic Zone, which is set up on an area of 1,138 acres in the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Industrial Park located in Mirsrai. Their total proposed investment is about 41 million USD. Bepza expects to start exporting products from Bepza Economic Zone within this year.
